Westwood, MA. Keene Davieson (Davie) Annis, born September 27, 1951 in Boston, died Thursday, May 14, 2009 after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
He was the beloved son of E. Keene and Susan P. Annis of Medway, and leaves his loving wife Katherin McGurk Annis, and children D. Christopher Annis and
Leda Kathleen Annis. Davieson grew up on Waseeka Farm in Ashland, MA and in Dover, MA and was a graduate of the Fay School in Southborough and of Tabor Academy in Marion, MA, Class o 1970,
where he was an outstanding athlete in football, wrestling, lacrosse and rowing. He also attended Union College in Schenectady, NY.
He was an avid sports fan, and an auto racing & road rally enthusiast, formerly active in SCCA and IMSA Firehawk endurance roadracing. Davie was a past President of
O.K...R.T (Otto Kros Racing Team). He was highly valued for his sportsmanship and integrity. Most recently he was assistant coach for boy's lacrosse in Westwood.
He was employed by Comcast in Natick. He loved people and most especially he loved his wife and his children, Christopher and Leda, who survive him.
He is also survived by his sisters Dr. Sarah (Annis) Lentini of Framingham and Nicole (Annis) Caruso of Charlton, as well as his parents, aunts, cousins, many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visiting hours will be held at Holden Dunn Lawler Funeral Home on High Rock Street in Westwood, Monday May 18, 2009 from 4 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 10 am in Grace Church, 21 Centre Street, Dover, MA.
